In art, we are learning the difference between positive space and negative space. A positive shape is a shape that's filled in with color (or paper) and the negative is the opposite, it's the space around it. We then cut out several positive and negative shapes using little multicolored squares of paper. They look really neat when placed next to each other onto a background.
