Over the last few weeks we've been creating wood sculptures in art. We talk about the positive and negative space that sculptures make. We also learned how to safely and properly use glue guns. We started with a base and then students found the shapes of wood they wanted to use to create their sculptures. There was a wide variety of sizes and shapes. After gluing our pieces together we painted portions of our sculpture using tempera paints. Everyone had an awesome time creating in this sculpture project!
