In the spring, the Boneyard Arts Festival will hit Champaign-Urbana and Leal kids will be a part of it! In the Children's Department of the Urbana Free Library you will be able to find artwork from children all across Urbana! The second graders at Leal will be showcasing their underwater pointillism mural. Some chose to create fish, turtles, seahorses etc. all in the pointillism technique. Before we started we looked at the painting: A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte by Seurat. It's a very famous painting that took the artist over three years to paint. That's a lot of points! We hope you will see our work in the spring!
