Mrs. Headtke's 3rd graders are learning all about fractions! This gave us an awesome opportunity to make some fraction birds! We started with a full circle. We used 1/2 of the circle to create the body, 1/4 of the circle to create the head, 1/8 of the circle to create the tail and 1/8 of the circle to create the beak. It was a lot of fun making art and learning about math at the same time!
